The topic of this post has been rattling around my brain for a while; but without a sold thread to loop it all together, I ended up leaving it to tumble around with all of my other half-formed ideas and un-tweeted opinions on Love Island.
Then, as I was snapping these photos of the b-e-a-utiful Silver Mesh Philosopher* watch I was kindly sent from Nordgreen, I realised that this was the essence of the post: time and whether it’s ever ‘too late’.

I was listening to a podcast recently (moment of smugness for the fact that I’m taking my mission to spend my time consuming better forms of content this year seriously, please) and the presenters discussed a new study that’s been done into adolescence and adulthood. According to said study, adulthood no longer starts at 18 as it traditionally has in the eyes of society and the law; in fact, we’re now in the adolescent phase until around the age of 25. Ahh, Valentine’s Day. Whether you love it, loathe it, or are largely indifferent to it but always like an opportunity to get presents (hands-up emoji from me), the day is coming. And so, like the kind soul I am, I’ve put together a brief list of present ideas to woo and impress the lady in your life.

I kid (kinda) – I actually really like my job and feel lucky to have landed a position that I wanted for so long. My current role is as a Content and Social Media Executive at a beauty brand and, as I know this is an industry fellow bloggers are pretty interested in, I thought I would put together a little overview of my normal working day.
Is working in beauty always glamorous? Does a job in social media really involve sitting on Instagram all day? Read on to find out… View Full Post
At 25 years of age, I’ve now been going on nights out for EIGHT YEARS. Apart from just being a horrifying fact that makes me feel like a granny, what this really means is that by now I’ve sussed out the essentials needed for a good night out. I will point out that I nearly always have fun on nights out, mainly because my friends are heeee-larious and we could probably have a laugh in a skip if there was enough vodka and crisps, but there are of course some nights that are better than others. And, in my extensive experience, these are the nights that involve… View Full Post
On first impressions, I’m your typical girls’ girl. I don’t leave the house without makeup on, I’d never drink lager in a pub, and sometimes I cry at The X Factor without really knowing why. However, beneath this girly exterior I hide a few dark secrets. A few things that make me worry that my membership card for Womanhood might be revoked at any minute.
