ghd Arctic Gold V Styler Gift Set Review

ghd Arctic Gold V Styler Close UpI’m not usually a brand snob, but one thing I’ve been adamant about since my teens is that I need a good pair of ghds in my life. I had my first set when I was 18 and they lasted me for seven years, so they’re something that I really believe to be well worth the money. When I was recently sent this ghd Arctic Gold V Styler Gift Set* then, I already knew that I was guaranteed the brilliant quality and smooth, professional results that I’ve grown used to.

The styler has smooth, ceramic plates that glide through hair without snagging, which is especially useful for me as it keeps my hair extensions in better condition. It also has rounded edges, making creating curls and waves really easy too. Additional features include a 2.7 metre long swivel cord, universal voltage, and a safety feature that turns the heat off if they are left on for more than 30 minutes – making this a seriously practical styler, as well as a pretty one.

Review ghd Arctic Gold V Styler Gift SetAnd that’s just the styler. This gift set contains additional products that make the Arctic Gold styler even better to use. The ghd V Styler gift set includes:

  •  the ghd V styler in a winter-inspired, limited edition arctic gold finish
  • a matching roll bag and detachable heat mat
  • protective guard

These extras in the gift set not only add some lovely touches of luxury, but also make the styler perfect for travelling. The heat-proof mat means that you can use your styler wherever you are, ensuring no damage to any surfaces or carpets (something that my mum used to have the BIGGEST paranoia over when I was younger). The protective black guard is also designed to slip over the top of the plates, allowing them to still be transported while they cool down.

ghd Arctic Gold V Styler ResultsI honestly don ‘t know what I’d do without my ghds (apart from look like a bedraggled mess every day anyway) and can’t recommend this particular set enough. The Arctic Gold Gift Set is actually currently in the sale on the ghd website for £110, which is £20 less than the RRP. With a 2 year guarantee, you can buy with confidence – which I know is a super cheesy sales-y thing to say, but it’s honestly how I feel about ghd as a brand. I know that other brands have come a really long way in the last few years in terms of quality,  but for me ghd will always be the original and best. Claire loves ghd 4ever, IDST.

What do you all think of ghds? Let me know in the comments!

This is seriously a piece of art! I need that in my life because dayum it’s gorgeous to look at! I have a 7 year old hair straightener that’s still going strong, but if it ever passes away then I’d definitely invest in this… (not just because of looks!)

Your hair looks absolutely fab and the GHDs themselves are just stunning. I’ve always been a massive fan of GHD as a brand although I’ve been hearing amazing reviews on the Cloud Nine brand also so I really want to try those out to see how they compare! Always afraid they won’t be as good as my GHD’s though! Thanks for sharing xx

The colour of your hair is absolutely beautiful. I’m totally envious right now! Does it require a lot of upkeep? Do you have it done often at the salon?

Personally, I’ve never owned a pair of GHD’s. My hair is naturally dead straight, so there’s just no need. Embarrassingly, the only pair of straighteners I’ve ever owned are a pair of pink ceramic plated ones which cost £17 from an eBay shop haha! I bought them when I was 14 and they’ve seen me through to 22 xx

Aw thank you, I do my hair colour myself and don’t find it too much of a nuisance 🙂 I’m so jealous of your natural straightness, that would save me so much time! xx

Aren’t they beaut? Thanks for such a lovely comment Amy xx

I haven’t had any ghd straighteners, however all I hear is good things about them. When my current one stops working, I will definitely give it a try. Arctic gold one looks so stylish!
