48 Hours in Denim with George

Denim 1

I have to say – and believe me that there is not even a whiff of hyperbole here – that finding a well-fitting pair of jeans is one of my main challenges in life. Short legs, a disproportionate waist-to-hip ratio and hella junk in the trunk do not make it easy, and there’s really only one high street brand that I go to for my jeans. So when I was challenged by George at ASDA to take part in their ’48 Hours in Denim’ campaign, I was a bit apprehensive. Finding a pair of jeans that I would be willing to spend a whole weekend in? Hmm.

And then these arrived through my door. The George Wonderfit skinny jeans range has received a lot of buzz due to the claims that they mould to fit all shapes and sizes, without losing shape – and as soon as I tried them on, I fully understood the hype. At first glance, these look TINY and you don’t think you’ll ever fit in them. Then you put them on and they have so much stretch they end up not only fitting, but feeling super comfortable too. If I had to compare them to another brand, then it would be my holy grail jean that I mentioned above: you guessed it, Topshops’ Joni jeans. The difference, of course, is the price. Whereas Jonis will set you back around £36 (and more if you want something as extravagant as a couple of rips in the knees), the Wonderfit jeans cost just £20 or £25.

Once I realised how amazing the fit was, I knew styling them for the weekend would be easier than I planned. A well fitting pair of skinnies is basically the perfect base item to a number of outfits.

George Wondersculpt High Waisted Skinny Jeans | River Island High-Neck Top | Primark Clutch | eBay Lace Up Heels

George Wondersculpt High Waisted Skinny Jeans | Missguided Turtleneck | New Look Blanket Cape | River Island Thigh-High Boot | H&M Fedora

Overall I’m so happy that these jeans are now a part of my wardrobe. My one criticism would be the lack of leg length options in the pair that I got (which are the Wondersculpt High Waisted Skinny Jeans in dark denim, if you wondered), meaning that I do have to roll the legs up. Other than that, though, I can’t fault them and definitely recommend giving them a go if you’re looking for a more affordable version of Topshop’s Joni jeans.

Have any of you tried the Wonderfit range from George? Or would you like to? Let me know in the comments!

George is so underrated! I love their jeans, I find these jeans a little on the long side for me, but nothing folding wont solve 🙂 they really make wearing jeans a lot more comfortable!

Claire, I honestly don’t know what you’re going on about your legs, because they look fantastic! Finding a pair of jeans that fit right is hard, innit, and gah, spend a whole weekend in? I don’t know if I ever will, haha. Loving the second look!

I purchased these a few weeks ago. I also have junk in the trunk and the waist to hip ratio problem! I’ve been so impressed with them though I’ll be grabbing more, I’m hoping they’ll bring out the different leg lengths once they’ve proved popular enough!

Love how you’ve styled them especially with the cape!
