Bobbi Brown AW15 New Releases: The Greige Collection

Bobbi Brown Greige Collection Review

You probably know by now that I am a huge lover of neutrals, so when I recently attended a Bobbi Brown masterclass in House of Fraser in Birmingham focused around their new Greige Collection, it was like I had died and gone to muted-toned heaven. Greige = grey and beige obvi, and it might just be one of the most delightful colours out there.

The new Greige collection features a range of new products for autumn/winter 2015, and I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on two of the products: the Greige Eyeshadow Palette * (RRP £52) and the Intense Pigment Liner in Midnight* (RRP £26.50). These are actually the first Bobbi Brown products I’ve tried (no, I DON’T know where I’ve been either) and I’m just blown away by their beauty. I mean, LOOK AT ‘EM.

Bobbi Brown Greige Palette Review Bobbi Brown Greige Eyeshadow Palette Bobbi Brown Greige Palette SwatchFirst up, the Bobbi Brown Greige Eyeshadow Palette is obviously just stunning to look at. The sturdy, luxurious case is a faux navy leather and comes complete with a large mirror inside it’s magnetised lid. Inside there are eight gorgeous, cool-toned shades, ranging from the palest cream to a slate-like grey. There’s a mix of matte, shimmer and full-on sparkle – so this is the perfect party season palette.

Up until now, I’ve never really been a huge eyeshadow fan. But this is absolutely the palette that has changed this for me. The last two weekends, I’ve braved a smokey eye with this bad boy and I absolutely love it. The shadows are nicely pigmented, but without being too intense to scare an eyeshadow novice like myself. They also blend like an absolute dream, and all of the shades go with each other seamlessly. This is such a beautiful addition to my makeup bag, and I can’t rave about it enough. Like, it would start to get embarrassing.

Bobbi Brown Intense Pigment Liner Review Bobbi Brown Intense Pigment Liner MidnightNext, the Bobbi Brown Intense Pigment Liner is unlike anything I’ve tried before. This powder liner goes on SO pigmented (as the name would suggest) and once it’s there, it doesn’t budge. The three shades within the palette allows you to play with the looks you can create – so you can play it safe with the almost-black, or experiment with an on-trend coloured liner with the royal blue. This is also available in Black Plum and Forest, though as we learned during the masterclass that blue is the most versatile coloured eyeliner shade due to it complementing both blue and brown eyes, I was so happy to be gifted with this one. I wouldn’t usually think to spend £26.50 on a product so physically small, but I’m already seeing with this that the tiniest bit goes a long, long, looong way.

As well as the Greige Eyeshadow Palette and the three Intense Pigment Liners, the new AW15 releases from Bobbi Brown also include two greige nail polishes, four limited edition Rich Lip Colour lipsticks and two new Long Wear Cream Shadow Sticks. You can read more about the collection on the Bobbi Brown website, and within the UK you can buy all of the new products from House of Fraser as well as other department stores.
