Huge Summer Beauty Haul | July 2016

Huge Summer Beauty HaulI don’t know if it’s the increase of fake tan or the fruity scents that make me think of poolside cocktails – mmmm pina colada – but I love the little beauty switch-up we tend to make in the summer.  I’ve picked up quite a few new products lately that have helped give my beauty drawer a summer revamp, so though I’d talk y’all through them. While they’re not all summery products per se (I mean, live your life, but I’d recommend using toothpaste all year round personally FYI), they’ve injected some much needed variety into my routine.

Lee Stafford Coco Loco | Redken Pillow ProofLee Stafford Coco Loco Blow & Go* | Lee Stafford Coco Loco Coconut Spritz* | Redken Pillow Proof

First up, I’ve given my haircare a little overhaul lately thanks to this beaut pair from Lee Stafford. As the name would suggest, these have the most gorgeous coconut scent which is so perfect for summer. The Coconut Spritz would be especially brilliant for holiday, as it can be used throughout the day on dry hair to give some added mositure/freshness as well as while styling. I’ll have to remember to pack it in my suitcase when I go t- oh no wait I have no more holidays this year and will be spending the entire summer in my room. Cheers life. AN YWHO I’ve also added the super popular Redken Pillow Proof to my collection this month, as I was able to get it at a bit of  discount at work (huzzah!) This is meant to be a hair primer that cuts down your blowdrying time and also extends the life of your blowdry. I’m looking forward to giving this a go and will be reporting back A$AP Rocky.

I’ve also been sent a few new makeup bits this month from a fantarrrrstic wholesale site called Northwest Cosmetics. They stock brands like Technic and W7 above, which can be a bit tricky to get your hands on,  but also sell high street favourites like Revlo, Bourjois and Max Factor. I’m so excited to give this Technic cream contour palette a go, as the shade range looks really good and I’m intrigued to compare it to my Sleek Cream Contour Kit. Keep your eyes peeled for a review of that soon.

Summer Beauty Haul Vanity Claire | Dr OrganicDr Organic Self Tan Mousse* | Dr Organic Moroccan Glow Body Lotion*

As you all know, I bloody love self tan so I’m always up for trying a new one. I was recently sent this Dr Organic (not sure if that’s a real doctor, I suspect not) Self Tan Mousse in Medium, and I’m absolutely OBSESSED with it. Not only does it leave the most beautiful, non-orange colour when it develops, but it also applies as a white mousse, meaning NO STAINED SHEETS. As someone who has recently bought white sheets for the first time in about ten years, I can’t tell you what a massive deal and relief this is. Along with the tan and tan extending moisturiser featured above, I also received a whole host of other Dr Organic goodies recently. They all contain organic and natural raw ingredients, and you can browse their full range of products here on Holland & Barrett.

Summer Beauty Haul Vanity ClaireCorsodyl Daily Toothpaste* | PS Love Nude Kohl Eyeliner | Sigma Power Crayon* | Sigma Power Liner* | Listerine Total Care Mouthwash*

Finally, I’ve been enjoying some new basics recently in the form of these Corsodyl mini toothpastes, which as we all know is the best brand going for protecting your teeth and gums (I’m also informed its National Kissing Day next week so these will keep you FRESH AF if you have any surprise snogging planned, ooer). I’ve also heard some good things about Primark makeup recently and so picked up this nude eyeliner to try out. It does the job well, so I think I need to head in to my local Primark and pick up a few other bits soon.

And thus concludes my maaaaassive beauty haul (though I’ve actually picked up a few more things since taking these pictures – stay strong, beauty drawer, stay strong). Have you tried any of these products? Let me know your opinions below!

I checked the site but seems they only ship across Europe. 🙁 I wanted to try Technic and W7 makeup for the longest time but they are not easily available in Canada. That said, what a great haul, I look forward to your review especially on the contour palette.

I love that toothpaste is on your favourites list haha! A lot of these brands are ones I haven’t seen before… but the Coco Loco ones sound right up my alley (especially if they are coconut scented…mmmm!) If it makes you feel any better I don’t have any vacations either…. just started a new job and we can’t take any time off for 6 months AND I work Saturdays (boo!)
But hey – money is money! LOL
    Take care,

So do you actually prefer the glue on nails or getting a manicure from a salon? Thanks!

    • Claire July 14, 2016 / 1:50 pm

Hi Ashley, I definitely prefer acrylics from a salon but stick-ons are great if I can’t fit an appointment in and just want something to keep me going for a week or two 🙂 xx
