I’ve Been Buying… Quay Sunglasses

So I probably should be waiting to show these off in some sort of haul post, but 1. I’m on a bit of a spending ban so don’t know when I’ll next be shopping in bulk, and 2. I’m just excited by them and can’t wait, so let me live my life okay?

I’ve been wanting a pair of Quay Australia sunglasses for a really long time. I think I first saw them on Kylie Jenner, and then they were all over lots of stunning Instagram girls; so because of this, I got it into my head that they were some really high-end pricey brand. Then one day a couple of months ago, somebody mentioned them being available on Asos. What, pardon?! Cue me going to check them out, and discovering that they actually only cost around £30 per pair. Golly gosh, give me them all.

As well as Asos, UK stockists of Quay sunglasses also include Topshop, which is where I got these from – though I actually found them via a site called Love the Sales. This is because they were in the SALE (hence the name of the site) for only £15 EACH. I don’t need Carol Vorderman skills to know that that’s 2 for the price of 1, and thus the type of bargain that makes my soul happy. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI opted for the Cha Cha sunglasses, which is the bigger pair of the two, and the Tainted Love style too. Though they’re in the more conservative colours of brown and black respectively, the quirky shape and reflective lenses still make them such interesting pieces (and a bloody nightmare to photograph, FYI). I do plan to add to my collection though, and some of the brighter colours will most definitely be making their way into my life. I think these particular styles are now sold out on Topshop, but some more may pop up on the Topshop sale page on Love the Sales again, so it’s worth keeping an eye on it. You’re so very welcome.

Gurrrrl you do not have a fat face haha! I wasn’t sure about the shape either though as I don’t think I suit many glasses but I think the Cha Cha ones especially would suit most people 🙂 xx

These are gorgeous, I love them! My face is quite wide at the cheekbones so I usually struggle to find sunglasses that look right on me, but I reckon the bigger pair would be perfect. They definitely look higher end, going to take a look on Asos right now 🙂 x

Definitely, I think they would suit most face shapes 🙂 Let me know if you see any you like the look of (so I can add more to my wishlist, paha) xx

I’ve been wanting a pair of these sunglasses myself and like you, I thought they were more expensive than they actually are! I’ll definitely have to look out for them in a Topshop store as I like to try on before I buy. Most frames look AMAZING on the rack but then make me look like Alvin the chipmunk on vacay. Damn my chubby cheeks.

    • Claire March 2, 2016 / 8:25 pm

Glad it wasn’t just me who thought they were pricier 🙂 Hahaha if your cheeks are chubby then I don’t even know what mine would be classed as..! xx

I’ve already found some more I like haha, will have to wait for a discount code too though 😉 xx

Any idea what the lovely shape of these sunglasses are called? I wanna say cat-eye but that doesn’t seem exactly right! I’m broke as hell but I don’t think I can live another day without a pair, so I’m off ebay-ing!

    xxxx

    • Claire March 9, 2016 / 9:47 pm

Hmm I think cat-eye is maybe the closest you’ll get, but I agree they seem a bit more unusual than that! Happy eBay hunting, let me know if you find any bargains 🙂 xx

I am dying to get a pair of Quay sunnies! I love the mirrored sunglasses and the rose gold ones too. Actually, I think I love them all! x
