Nailbox Review

Nailbox May ReviewBy now, I think we’re all pretty familiar with the concept of the subscription beauty box. I myself had a Glossybox subscription for a few months, and have also had dalliances with Beauteco. Ultimately, what put me off these beauty boxes was the lack of products I was really interested in. All I really wanted was makeup and so things such as haircare, skincare and tiny perfume samples made me lose interest. I know, I’m a superficial little thing.

With this in mind, one of the newer subscription boxes, Nailbox, is a bit of a breath of fresh air. As the very astute of you might have figured out from the name, it’s a beauty box dedicated to one particular area of cosmetics – nails. This means that you know what you’re getting each month and can really start to grow your nailcare collection (rather than just your collection of ‘random crap samples I’m going to lose in my drawer’, which is all I really did with my Glossyboxes).

Each month, the Nailbox will deliver you with five products – three or four full size products, and one or two nail accessories or tools. I got my hands on the May Nailbox* and have to say, I’m very impressed. There are no unheard-of brands here – we have OPI, Rimmel, Orly and Essie nail polishes, along with an Elegant Touch cuticle tool. With such big brands included, this is a great value-for-money box considering the price of a monthly subscription starts at £13.50. You can subscribe to Nailbox on 3, 6 or 12 month plans, or you can pay for one-off boxes if you just want to add a few amazing shades and brands to your collection. Overall I think this is a great idea for fans of nail care, and can’t wait to start wearing my new polishes over the summer.

Have any of you tried Nailbox? What do you think of beauty subscription boxes?

I think that’s my fave too – hoping that when I try it out, I’ll look like the nail painting emoji aha 🙂 xx

I thought this was going to be about that nail box where you send back the polishes they send you (a concept that i can’t get my head around) but to know that there’s now a box that send you a selection to keep is really worth knowing although with the brands that’s included I dunno whether i’d consider this value for money; I can buy end of line Rimmel, Essie and OPI from fragrance direct for a couple of quid so £13.50 seems a little bit steep – great concept though!

Oh god yeah I’ve heard of that too – no idea why you would want to send something back! Ahh I didn’t know that about Fragrance Direct, will definitely have to check that out 😉 xx
