OOTD | Boohoo’s Blogger X Dress Of The Month

OOTD | Boohoo's Dress Of The MonthSatin dress: Boohoo* | Dress: Primark | Thigh-high boots: River Island | Bag: Topshop

Aloha my little friends! If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll probably have seen loads of Boohoo recently. I’ve always been a fan of the brand, but I feel like in the last six months they’ve really upped their game and I’ve picked up so many on-trend but affordable pieces. So when I was asked to take part in their Bloggers X Dress Of the Month campaign, I obviously said yes. The concept is simple: a handful of bloggers are sent the same dress to style in different ways, showing how the same dress can suit all body types and personal styles. The catch was that the dress was a total mystery to me until it plopped through my letterbox. OOOOOOH.

I was a bit nervy before it arrived as I can be a bit – err, shall we say particular? – when it comes to my clothes. I.e. I pretty much only wear minimal, fitted things that come in black, white, nude or khaki. But I should have trusted the Boohoo babes as of COURSE they were going to hook me up with something nice – and they did, in the form of the Karlie Satin Wrap Shirt Dress. This material and style is everywhere at the mo, and I’d been tempted to try it out but wasn’t sure if it would suit me.

As I started trying it on with a few different pieces from my ‘drobe, I suddenly has a eureka moment when I realised that I really LOVED the dress worn completely open as a jacket rather than a dress. Coats like this are also really on-trend (we’re all just loving satin in any form, basically), so I teamed it with my staple black bodycon and I’m so pleased with how it looks.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe dress-cum-coat is slightly longer at the back, and also comes with an extra-long belt that can be used as an added bit of detail. In this gorgeous khaki/olive colour, it’s perfect for a daytime casual look as well as an evening outfit, and the shirt vibes when it’s wrapped also make it really work appropriate too. The Karlie Wrap Dress also comes in the shades Smoke (which looks like a gorgeous minky nude colour I’d love to get my hands on) and a very this-season rust-like Chocolate.

At only £22, it’s a total bargain – especially when you consider the number of ways that you can wear it. Loose as a jacket like me? Check? With black opaque tights and chunky boots for work? Check. Barely-there heels, a choker and shed loads of tan for a night out? Check checkity check; I reckon it’s worth snapping up in every colour. You can shop the Karlie Satin Wrap Shirt Dress here and of course you can check out the rest of Boohoo’s dresses while you’re there. I can’t wait to see how my fellow bloggers styled the Dress of the Month!

What do you think of this outfit? Are you loving Boohoo at the moment too? Let me know in the comments!

I used to order from Boohoo all the time, but in the last couple of years they seem to have changed their style a bit, I don’t like them as much anymore. I do really love your outfit though, so it seems like there are still some gems there! Very affordable also, which is always a plus. 🙂 Thank you for sharing! x
