Sleek Face Form Contouring & Blush Palette in Fair Review

Sleek Contour Palette

It’s no big shock that both Claire and I are huge Sleek Makeup fans. In fact, I can’t use anything other than their Brow Kit, which is quite frankly the best thing in the entire human world.

On a bit of a whim, I decided to pick their Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette the other day, partly because I’d run out of my favourite baked blush and partly just for the crack. Contouring kits can be hugely helpful for girls like me, who simply can’t be arsed to buy and lug around more than one product (I find it hard enough keeping track of the hordes of makeup I have, never mind adding 3 more to the mix). This one looked as good as any, so off it popped into my Superdrug basket, along with lots of other nonsense I didn’t actually need.

What I like most about this is that it includes a blusher as well as a bronzer and highlighter. I really like using blusher, because my fair skin can sometimes look muddy and rubbish with bronzer (except for this Bourjois one, of course). The blush in this palette is nice – quite a rosy pink, with golden highlights. For those who don’t like shimmer in your blush, you won’t love this one. It can make you look a little disco if you go overboard, but I quite like the dewy/highlighted look it gives. It looks a lot darker actually in the palette, but it’s a lot more subtle when you put it on your face.

The bronzer isn’t great if I’m honest, I find the colour a bit muddy. Saying that, it is a great bronzer for contouring (which I suppose is the nub and gist of the palette as a whole). It’s a matte bronzer, so won’t add shimmer where you don’t want it. If you use a very light hand when applying, the muddiness isn’t TOO much of an issue (you don’t want to look like you’ve done a Tough Mudder after all. That would be tragic).

The shimmer is fantastic, one of the best highlighters I’ve used in a while in fact. The pigment is brilliant, and it blends really really well. I think buying the palette for the highlighter alone is worth it. In fact, the pigmentation of all of the colours is fabulous, and I can see this lasting me bloody ages.

If you want to buy this bad boy, it’ll set you back £9.99. They come in loads of subtly different shades, but I like this one because of it’s warm tones that really do compliment fair skin really well.

What do you think? Have you tried Sleek’s contouring palettes?

I love that Sleek cater for the very light to the very dark at bargainous prices. I have this palette in medium for my NC42 skin and I’ve pretty much used in every day for the last 18 months. Fab all rounder x

Yeah, I totally agree. For my pale skin, it can be a bit of a nightmare trying to find the right products xxx

This is my favourite palette, I use it almost daily. I agree that I often skip on the bronzer (partly because I’m still nervous about contouring) but the blusher is great and the highlighter is fantastic. A definite winner!

I had a huge clear out and got rid of this, really stupidly actually as the highlighter is AMAZING, I really found the same issues with the bronzer as you lil too dark for me I think xxx

Yeah, I don’t use the bronzer as much as the blusher and the highlighter but I do really love it! xxx
