Hello there you hot tamales. I thought I would just write a super quick update for those who might be like ‘who the hell is this Vanity Claire who’s suddenly all over my social media, GOODBYE stranger’. Please don’t say goodbye – it is me, your dear old friend Claire from Stylingo.co.uk. So, why the name change?
Basically, I came up with the name ‘Vanity Claire’ as a personal blog name a good couple of years ago and have had the domain name since then. However, when Lauren and I launched our joint blog back in the olden days of 2013, it was obviously not appropriate and so we launched Stylingo. The name served us well as a blogging duo, but since doing a Jason Derulo and ridin’ solo on the blog, it hasn’t suited me as well. I don’t think it’s the most memorable name, and it also lacks that personalisation that I love about blogs such as The Elle Next Door and Lly Mlrs.
SO, say hello to my shiny new domain and moniker, Vanity Claire. If you don’t already, then you can also follow me on Twitter and Instagram under my new handles @Vanity__Claire (note the double underscore – the things a gurl’s gotta do to be unique on the internet, hey).
Good luck with the new name! I’ve changed mine twice in the time I’ve had a blog!
