Monthly Must-Haves #2

monthly must-haves

Dress: Monsoon | Letter cushion: Next | Textured trainers: Espirit | Pretty Honest by Sali Hughes | Frame: Oliver Bonas | Foundation: Born This Way by Too Faced

March is a weird old month; we’re meant to be focusing on spring/summer, but at the same time we’re still having to scrape ice off our cars and are secretly hoping plans get cancelled so we can stay at home in the warm. Or is that just me and my antisocial mind? Anyway. The point is I have no real idea what to buy in terms of clothing at the moment and so it’s no surprise that my wishlist for this month only features two fashion items.

First up, my nephew is going to be christened soon and so I’m having to start thinking about appropriate outfits. Although I love it, this glitzy maxi dress is probably too jazzy (first rule of a christening: don’t upstage the baby). Luckily Monsoon is the master of dressy dresses (hence their entire section dedicated to occasionwear) so I’m bound to find something else in there. Secondly, I’ve also been after some trainers to wear casually for a while now. I’m not 100% sure if I’ll actually suit them when not in the confines of the gym, and so I’m reluctant to splash out on some Nikes or Adidas. This pair from Espirit are the exact style and colours I want – monochrome queen forever, etc – but also really reasonably priced at £55.

While I’m not too enthused by any other fashion, one thing I’m definitely still loving right now is homeware. This letter cushion from Next and the chevron-print frame from Oliver Bonas would both fit into my monochrome bedroom perfectly. On a side note, you should be happy that this didn’t turn into a fully fledged Oliver Bonas wishlist, as my gosh that stuff is just BEYOND BRILLIANT. The Marble collection is definitely one that every blogger in particular is going to want to check out (think of the flat lays – swoon).

Finally, my two ‘don’t fit into the other categories so let’s call them ‘wild cards” must-haves of the month are the book Pretty Honest, which promises to be a ‘straight-talking beauty companion’ (a bit like me after four vodkas), and the Born This Way foundation from Too Faced. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this foundation, and so it’s definitely next on my list of high-end products to try.

That’s all of my must-haves for the month of March, but what are you coveting this month? Let me know in the comments!

That dress looks beautiful, but like you said don’t upstage the baby 🙂 Next homeware section is great, whenever I look through the website I just want everything. I have pretty honest on my list too, I am so late with it.

I bought the Too Faced Foundation last week and it’s amazing! Will be reviewing it very soon 🙂 I’ve got the same problem right now, except it’s meant to be Fall and it’s bloody hot still haha.
