I was tempted to call this post ‘Winter Rolls’ because in all honesty I feel that I have gained approx seven rolls and three extra chins over the Christmas and New Year period. However, I’m trying not to be such a negative Nancy these days and anywho, exercise is firmly back on the agenda to help me shift this food baby weight. Hence this lovely little wintery walk that I dragged Lauren on over the weekend to one of Coventry’s prettiest destinations, Coombe Abbey.
We hadn’t quite anticipated how muddy the outdoor world would be, and some of the other walkers looked at us with a kind of pity as we tried leaping across the sludge in tiny boots. Mild mud-related peril aside, it was a lovely wintery morning and made us feel so good and healthy that we felt zero guilt devouring milkshakes and enchiladas when we got home. That’s what’s meant by a balanced lifestyle, right?
