Happy New Years Eve, friends! I did one of these outfits posts last year, and looking back at that one has made me realise how weak my OOTD taking game has been this year. Last year’s contained 27 outfit posts… and here I have nine. However, thanks to my shiny new Olympus Pen that I very luckily got for Christmas this year, I really think this is something that I can get better at again in 2016. So, apologies if you hate seeing photos of me posing awkwardly and staring at the ground because you’re going to get a lot more of it.
Although there aren’t many snaps, I do think these few photos show some of my key go-to looks from 2015 pretty well. My thigh-high boots, various fur coats, collection of sleeveless blazers and pair of culottes were some of the my favourite items, and no more than three days would go by before a high-neck of some variety would be out.
I think that I’ve learned the shapes and styles that suit me best (finally – it only took 25 years), but have also been braver in some of my choices and tried things a bit out of my comfort zone – yeah, I’m looking at you, plunge jumpsuit.
A big thank you to everyone who’s read and supported my blog this year, and I hope you all have amazing New Years Eves. It will come as no surprise to anyone who knows my cynical little self in real life that I’m not big on NYE, finding shouty countdowns and people bragging on Facebook about all the things they’ve achieved in 2015 a little tiresome. However I’m having a couple of friends around tonight and have bought a shit-load of cheese and so I think I’ll actually end up enjoying myself. A festive miracle!
How do you think your style has evolved over 2015? Let me know in the comments!
