So Fresh So Clean | Current Skincare Routine

Skincare Routine | Garnier, Sanctuary, Body ShopTaking care of my skin has started to creep up my list of priorities over the last year or so – I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’ve stopped watching TOWIE so I have more time to dedicate to the important things now. Anyway, the days of just swooshing a face wipe around my face are thankfully long gone (except for when I’m drunk, obvi) and I’m currently in a proper skincare regime. There are four products I’m using regularly at the moment that I’m a big fan of, and they actually – gasp – make me look forward to cleansing at the end of the day.

First up, there’s the Garnier Oil-Infused Micellar Water (£3.99).I’m sure by now everyone’s tried a miceller water, and rightfully so because they’re amazing. This oil-infused version of the original Garnier one is even better, as the oil dissolves even stubborn eye makeup like it ain’t nothin‘.  The chunky 400ml bottle lasts for ages as well, making this bargain bottle unbeatable in my eyes.

Back in the day, I probably would have thought removing my makeup was enough, but I’m older and wiser now and know the importance of the double cleanse. So once my makeup’s removed I now go in with my Sanctuary Spa Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser (£10), which I picked up about a month ago. I love hot cloth cleansers as I feel like they really get into my pores without being at all harsh or irritating. This one smells AMAZING thanks to the cocoa butter and coconut (probably) and leaves my skin feeling soft an squeaky clean.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

When I’m cleansing my skin in the evening, I like to use a serum or concentrate as my overnight moisturiser. In the past, some seem to have contributed to my skin looking really oily the next morni9ng, but I’m now alternating between two that just seem to work wonders over night. The first of these is the Marine Miracle Night Repair Serum* (£41.95) from Transformulas. This is an anti-ageing serum that aims to repair and protect, but I mainly like it because it feels really cool and calming on the skin. It also sinks in like an absolute dream.

My second regular night serum is the Body Shop Drops of Youth Concentrate* (£25). I’d actually kind of forgot about this after I first trialled it last year , but I recently discovered it again and love it. This organic serum helps to enhance the surface of the skin, leaving it fresher and and healthier. This has a slightly tackier finish than the Transformulas serum, which is why I like to alternate them. But regardless of which one I use, my skin feels fresh and moisturised in the morning, without any greasiness.

I’ve had this routine for the past month or so, and I honestly don’t think my skin has ever looked better. I mean, I’m still not about to go to work bare faced or start posting #nomakeupselfies (ugh, how I HATE those) but, you know, I might open the door to the postman now without diving behind the sofa for a quick concealer swipe. I also feel like it’s generally in much better condition now, making it a smoother base to apply makeup too.

Have you tried any of these products? What skincare products are you loving at the mo? Let me know in the comments!

I’m currently reading this post, during an add break from TOWIE haha! I definitely think you can still do both! I’ve not tried any of the products you’ve mentioned but I’d definitely look into it!

I’m also a fan of The Body Shop’s Drops of Youth Concentrate, though like you I also alternate due to the slightly heavier texture. Completely adore your metallic nails by the way!!
