Some of you may know that Lauren and I live together, and as such we bought each other Christmas presents last year (aw, cute yeah). I completely misjudged the present-giving situation and thought we were giving cheap comedy presents – hence why Lauren got a Beyonce mug and our teacher housemate got a book on kids’ crap artwork. You can imagine, then, my ‘heh heh heeeeeh’ of awkardness when Lauren presented me with not only a comedy present, but also this beaut MAC lipstick to add to my (teeny tiny) collection.
Violetta is part of the Amplified range of finishes, which are all highly pigmented. I absolutely LOVE the shade, a very vibrant violet (as the name would suggest) that’s perfect for a statement lip on a night out. Formula-wise, it feels really nourishing when applied, and doesn’t seem to have the same tendency to cling to dryer bits of the lip as I’ve found with some of the other MAC finishes. As always, there is basically nothing negative to say about MAC lipsticks – apart from the price maybe, but seeing as this was a present I can’t even comment on that! I’m lucky to be kept in the luxury lifestyle by Lauren.

This is actually a really gorgeous colour!!! It’s a lot more delicate than what it looks in the tube – beautiful with some eyeliner and mascara for a simple look! 🙂

I got this lipstick when they brought out the Disney Villians collection, I absolutely love it! Amplified finishes are definitely my favourite!
